Ronald Malengu (罗纳德)
I am Ronald Malengu, a final-year master’s student in the School of Computer Science and Technology at Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen), advised by Professor Wenjie Pei. My research focuses on generative models and their applications in image refinement and multimodal learning.
I served as a Teaching Assistant for COMP5031: Machine Learning (Spring 2025), a course taught by Professor Baotian Hu for international master’s students at Harbin Institute of Technology. In this role, I guided students through laboratory sessions and supported them in implementing core machine learning algorithms.
I received my bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering from Zhejiang University of Technology in 2023.

💼 Projects & Experience
Image Refinement with Binary-Quantized Generative Models
Proposed a two-stage framework based on Infinity to correct artifacts in images generated by Stable Diffusion v1.4. The method performs deterministic image inversion via LoRA-based optimization and refines localized defects using a masked self-attention module. Comprehensive quantitative and qualitative evaluations demonstrate improvements over state-of-the-art baselines.Anomaly Detection System on the MURA Dataset
Developed a DenseNet-based anomaly detection framework leveraging final-layer feature representations for classification and HiresCAM for post-hoc localization and interpretability. Conducted systematic benchmarking against ResNet and VGGNet variants, with DenseNet achieving superior performance. The system was deployed as both Android and web applications to enhance accessibility for end users.Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competitions
Presented a project at the 2022 “Construction Bank Cup” Zhejiang Provincial Internet+ College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition and represented Zimbabwe as an Ambassador at the 2024 China International College Students’ Innovation Competition.
